48 hours in Monaco, Grazia UK

It’s no easy task to find the secret spots of Monaco. As a friend advised whilst researching this story for Grazia UK: “There are no secrets. She’s an old whore who has shown everyone her knickers” (helpful). Hidden or in full show, there are definitely many gems – and actually, in terms of a weekend away, a trip to Monaco serves up lots of fun, culture and beautiful views. For example, you can see some great art at Villa Paloma, which is right next door to the stunning gardens and Insta-ready cacti at the terraced landscape of Les Jardins Exotique. Down by the harbour at Port de Fontvielle, the low-key oyster café Les Perles de Monte-Carlo is a delight – as is the bohemian Quai des Artistes after dark. Vintage Chanel? Head to Le Dressing in the shopping area of La Condamine (there’s a food market there, so you can stock up on a Provençal pissaladière while your in the neighbourhood). And that’s just day one. For more of my favourite spots in this glittering jewel of a destination, read on. Photography Claire Bingham ©
