Less is more stylish

Stash away the flamingo pool inflatables, this Pugliese villa is an example of how keeping things simple can look and feel good. Rustic and minimal, Masseria Moroseta in southern Italy was designed by Barcelona-based Brit Andrew Trotter, who believes that if you keep things basic, you can't go wrong. His philosophy? When a space feels luxurious, no extra decoration is required. Not only does it give good villa but you can stay there too.  For more inspiring destinations where you get to play house, even if it is just for a short while, check out my book Homes away from Home. Featuring beautiful holiday homes, the attraction isn't limited to the period whilst we are guests. They help us to return home with fresh eyes and imagine new and more confident ways on how to zhuzh things up. Photography Salva Lopez ©
